Situation prior to Firstech Environmental's involvement Firstech Environmental was retained to provide environmental consulting service relative to an environmental incident that was initially reported in June 1990. Several areas of concern were identified at this fuel oil distributorship, including seven underground storage tanks (tanks) and piping, and a dry well. The tanks capacities ranged in sizes from 550 gallons to 12,000 gallons. A complicated history of historic discharges, tank ownership transfer and post-excavation soil sampling data with exceedances of remediation criteria were present at the site.
Firstech Environmental submitted a Remedial Investigation Report that include a detailed site analysis of the fuel oil distributorship and other areas of concern with a request for No Further Action and closure for the assigned NJDEP case number. The NJDEP approved the No Further Action request for the site.
